Serving Sonoma County For Over 70 Years

The idea of Pacific Market began when Stan and Mary Mohar decided to start one of the first grocery stores in Northern California to offer a dedicated organic produce section. Opening in 1948, the little business helped pioneer the natural and healthy foods movement. The Pacific Market chain continues to offer the diverse selection of quality groceries that it's been known for since it opened.

Specialties like free-range chicken, grass-fed beef and pork; local farmed oysters and line caught salmon; house made sausages; and tumbled, marinated meat keep customers coming back for more. When the local Dungeness crab are in season, we fire up the only authentic crab pots still in use north of San Francisco.

The wine aisle at each store displays hundreds of award-winning wines from Sonoma County and the world. International and local cheeses are displayed in abundance, with a trained cheese expert sharing knowledge and advice. Artisan breads and pastries, organic fresh herbs, local dairy products and bulk ingredients make us a favorite destination of professional and aspiring chefs. And those who are too busy to cook enjoy a huge selection of deli and ready-to-serve dishes including authentic sushi that is made fresh daily; a giant salad, soup and olive bar; hot rotisserie chickens and a bountiful bakery.

The legacy of Stan and Mary Mohar continues on as we uphold the same level of customer service that was started over 70 years ago.
